Our Mission

At GenPride we advocate for the unique needs of older LGBTQIA+ adults, offer innovative programs and services that promote wellbeing and prevent social isolation, cultivate belonging through community connection, and work to eliminate discrimination in all its forms.

We are your community!

We are your community!

Finding it difficult to stay on top of groceries, medicine, and/or socialization during quarantine?

If you do not feel comfortable with the web form, or need assistance filling it out, a staff member or volunteer can reach out to check in with you.

Please reach out to (206) 800-2019 or info@genprideseattle.org

We are surveying our community to understand how coronavirus (COVID2019) is affecting the current needs of our senior LGBTQIA+ community. We would greatly appreciate your feedback, if you would be able to spend a few minutes on the phone or online to answer a short survey.

We know that many in our community have health conditions that create additional challenges and we are exploring options to provide assistance with:

  • Grocery and supply delivery

  • Donated groceries and specific supplies

  • Phone socialization/conversations to help reduce isolation

UNMUTED

Stories of Courage and Resilience

from the GenPride Community

A Riveting Testimony to the Power of Personal Storytelling

In their gripping anthology, fourteen LGBTQIA midlife and older adults share the struggles and triumphs that shaped their lives. Some stories delve into issues that have marked their generation: AIDS, gender identity, sexuality, persecution, and claiming one’s self. Others grapple with health, family, loss, addiction, and love. Unmuted is about heartbreak and courage, strength, and resilience.

Available in print, digital print, and audio book formats!
