Community Nominations are here!

We are welcoming nominations for this year’s GenPride event Pillars of Pride: Honoring our 2sLGBTQIA+ Elders!

If you have an outstanding elder that you would like to nominate, our process takes only 1 minute. Please submit their information through our nomination page: genprideseattle.org/pop23-honoree

Anyone can submit a nomination, and you may submit multiple nominations.  From these community nominations, GenPride will select five (5) honorees.

Please note: the nominee must be age 55 or older, currently able to attend, and willing to be featured on our website and communications.

This year we have a couple of additional guidelines that we will be following in the selection process:

  • Relevance to GenPride’s mission (including allies!)
  • Communities, community members, and individuals who have been underrecognized for their contributions, effort, or impact in improving LGBTQ+ communities
  • Pursuits/achievements that benefit under-resourced communities within the larger LGBTQIA+ umbrella

We will be accepting nominations until March 31st, 2023.

Do you know a local business or organization with interest in supporting the senior LGBTQIA2S+ community development? Please contact Allison McGrath at allison@genprideseattle.org with any and all ideas for sponsorships, in-kind donations, and supporting partnerships.
