Empower Physiotherapy is a woman and queer owned orthopedic & pelvic floor physical therapy practice in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle. Our treatment philosophy is that YOU are the expert of your body and we encourage patients to be active participants in their care. The owner, Dr. Brianna Durand, is an out and proud advocate for the LGBTQ+ population and the health inequities they face. We have a special interest in treating patients who are trans and gender non-conforming, including those who are preparing for/recovering from gender affirmation surgery. Additional expertise includes treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, such as incontinence, strength training, and vestibular rehab to improve balance and reduce the risk of falls.
