The mission of the Cowlitz Tribal Pathways to Healing Program is to honor traditional values and beliefs that promote safety and well being for Native American/Alaska Native families by providing a holistic approach to inform, educate and heal our communities affected by violence.

Eligibility

To be eligible you must be a Native American or Alaska Native (you do not have to be enrolled) who has experienced, or know someone who has experienced, domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence or stalking at any point in your life. Services are also available to clients of all other Health and Human Services Programs regardless of Native identity.

While the Pathways to Healing Program recognizes that a person can be both a survivor and a perpetrator over the course of their life, the focus of participation in services must be exclusive to the effects of the victimization.

Empower Physiotherapy is a woman and queer owned orthopedic & pelvic floor physical therapy practice in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle. Our treatment philosophy is that YOU are the expert of your body and we encourage patients to be active participants in their care. The owner, Dr. Brianna Durand, is an out and proud advocate for the LGBTQ+ population and the health inequities they face. We have a special interest in treating patients who are trans and gender non-conforming, including those who are preparing for/recovering from gender affirmation surgery. Additional expertise includes treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, such as incontinence, strength training, and vestibular rehab to improve balance and reduce the risk of falls.

Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility dedicated to providing specialized care for a broad spectrum of patients from throughout the Pacific Northwest, including the most vulnerable residents of King County.

As the only designated Level I adult and pediatric trauma and verified burn center in the state of Washington, Harborview serves as the regional trauma and burn referral center for Alaska, Montana and Idaho and the disaster preparedness and disaster control hospital for Seattle and King County.

Patients given priority for care include the non-English speaking poor; the uninsured or underinsured, victims of domestic violence or sexual assault; people incarcerated in King County's jails; people with mental illness or substance abuse problems, particularly those treated involuntarily; people with sexually transmitted diseases; and those who require specialized emergency, trauma or burn care.

  • Providence PACE (ElderPlace) program (Program of All-Inclusive care for the Elderly) is an innovative program that helps older adults remain independent in the community for as long as possible.

 

  • We specialize in serving the 55+, Medicaid population who are medically complex and require the services of a caregiver. We operate from an Interdisciplinary model of care and coordinate  all aspects of our participants heath care and social services.

 

  • We provide all transportation to and from medical appointments and our Adult Day Health activities program. We also provide durable medical equipment, prescribed medications, incontinence supplies and have onsite physical and occupational therapy at our clinics.

 

  • Providence ElderPlace is open Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with 24 hr on-call staff.

It is the Mission of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, Health and Human Services Department to promote an optimal level of health and well-being for American Indians and Alaskan Natives by utilizing traditional, modern, and culturally sensitive medical and social service practices which create balance in the physical, mental, spiritual, and social components of life.

Cowlitz Tribal Health Seattle provides mental health counseling services to Alaska Native/Native American children, youth, families, adults, and those who are enrolled members or descendants of federally-recognized tribes. At this time, we are able to see First Nations members, state recognized tribal members, or self-attesting Native Americans with active Medicaid coverage. Our program seeks to provide culturally-grounded services that support community members on their path of healing. Providers in our program are masters level therapists who utilize traditional ways of knowing as well as mainstream practices to assist program participants in returning to emotional, physical, spiritual and social balance.
