- GJL – Gender Justice League
The Gender Justice League works for a state where transgender and gender diverse people come together to create healthy, safer and engaging ways of life, free from discrimination at the institutional, systemic/structural, and social levels of our society.
A variety of methods are used to achieve success, including traditional grassroots activism, such as creating Trans Pride Seattle to create a community forum and location for trans community to gather; newer and innovative advocacy and media programs focused on elevating transgender media representation, reducing stigma, bias, violence, and hatred of trans and gender diverse people; and other projects that are proposed by members, developed by teams of volunteers, and resourced by our collective fundraising.
