Sound Generations has six community partner sites and ten programs that connect people to various food, security, transportation, health and wellness, and assistance services throughout King County. A network of community connections provides multiple services for seniors and adults with disabilities and those who care for them, including telephone, in-person, and written information and assistance; a network of senior centers; the Meals on Wheels and grocery delivery programs; minor home repair services, including making disability modifications; and arranging for transportation. Members offer their expertise in fields that include, but are not limited to, attorneys, community services and senior centers, fiduciaries, financial planning, government agencies, home care agencies, home health agencies, housing providers, information services, insurance providers, moving services, and pharmacy services.

Husky Senior Care is a local in-home senior care company serving the Greater Seattle, Bellevue, and Tacoma areas (King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties). Volunteer Services is a program of Catholic Community Services committed to providing in-home chore assistance to elders and adults with disabilities, helping them to remain in their own home for as long as safely possible.

Who qualifies for Volunteer Services?
Volunteer Services uses the following criteria to prioritize services:

• Age 65 or older, or 18 years of age and living with a functional disability (including temporary disabilities).
• Live independently in your own residence.
• Monthly income of around $1,000 per month or less for a single-person household, and $1,500 or less for a couple.*

*VS does not have strict financial criteria -- its purpose is to serve as a safety net for those who do not qualify for DSHS chore services (COPES) and cannot afford to pay for private chore services themselves. Volunteer Services considers factors such as medical expenses to determine eligibility.

SYNERGY HomeCare provides the highest quality non-medical home care services for clients of all ages. SYNERGY HomeCare is a non-medical home care agency--as opposed to a "home healthcare” agency. Home care plans are customized to fit individual needs. A CARE team approach allows participation in the care of loved ones from a distance via the internet. We do not treat LGBTQ seniors any differently than any other client.

Retirement community, independent and assisted living, short term care

The African American Elders Program, run by Catholic Community Services, serve older B/AA who are home bound, hard to serve, low income, and have chronic and/or severe disabilities, living with dementia and related disorders, and are at high risk of premature institutionalization. The program specializes in providing culturally competent and sensitive care specific to B/AA that have lived in a high crime environment and with a lifetime battling discrimination and racism.
