GenPride Board of Directors are looking for individuals who have skills, experience, and interest in one or more of the following areas: 

Board Committees 

Finance/Investment: We are looking for finance professionals, including those who have any combination of experience with nonprofit finance, property management or investment strategies as a business owner, CFO, or similar position to partner with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to make sound financial decisions.  This is not a hand-on board position. 

Fundraising/Development/Public Relations: We are eager to identify individuals who understand and enjoy nonprofit fundraising, philanthropy and public relations to help GenPride extend our reach and strengthen or relationships with donors, corporate sponsors and identify other viable income streams. 

Governance/ Legal/Human Resources Committee: We are interested in individuals who want to assist with recruiting, identifying, and orienting new board and committee members and also draft, revise and maintain as needed the corporation’s by laws, policies and procedures. We also seek to engage individuals with legal expertise and experience with human resources who can advise the organization on matters as they arise (e.g., contract review, human resource policies etc.)

Wellbeing: We are looking for community partners who bring physical and psychological insights and services from an intersectional perspective to improve the well-being of LGBTQIA+ elders. 

Legislative Advocacy: We a looking for individuals who want to monitor legislative issues at a city, county, state, and national level that may require action from the Board and a community of supporters. 

Community Engagement: We welcome community members who want to partner with GenPride to strengthen our engagement, alignment, and impact with a broad spectrum of Rainbow Elders. 

Equity and Social Justice: We are committed to creating an equitable and inclusive organization and Senior Center.  We welcome folks who want to work together to create an environment that is free from racism, transphobia, ageism and other manifestations of social oppression.
