Support GenPride with a year-end gift
We are aiming for over 55 new recurring donors to support our 55+ community of Rainbow Elders – ensuring we can continue to provide new and exciting programming, along with fulfilling and relevant services in our new space for years to come!
Hello [Contact.FirstName], and thank you so much for being a part of our family, community, and story. As GenPride looks to 2023 and the opening of Pride Place, we are also reflecting on how we have connected with folks like you this past year.
“It’s not like I didn’t feel like a real person at my prior senior community center, it’s that there’s a lot more space to be myself here at GenPride!” – community participant.
We’re proud of our online programming and how it has brought folks together. We will continue offering more opportunities for access to fulfilling and enriching programs.

Some highlights from our online events this past year include our Writer’s Workshop, Healthy Cooking and Living Classes, GenPride Movie Screenings with Scarecrow Video, and fitness classes like Yoga, T’ai Chi Chih, and introduction to Qigong.

We’re also very excited to have reintroduced in-person programming this past year. Helping folks like you connect again, in-person and as safely as possible, with events like:
Watercolor in the Park, Dine Out with GenPride & UW AgePride, Powerful Tools for Caregivers, and social groups like Re-connecting Together. genpri.de/events

This past May, we put on our first-ever Pillars of Pride! We enjoyed partying together again and celebrating our local honorees with over 150 folks in-person and online.

For decades, Capitol Hill has been a center of arts and culture, a landing place for newcomers to the city, and a safe and welcoming home for Seattle’s LGBTQ community.
Community Roots Housing and GenPride are well on their way to completing Pride Place, Seattle’s first affordable housing project and community center designed to be an affirming environment for LGBTQIA+ elders and the greater community. By this time next year, we will be on the ground floor running a welcoming and inclusive community center.
You and community members like you should be able to live, thrive, and find connection with other local LGBTQIA+ aging adults in safe accessible spaces. At GenPride, we continue to create space, support, and uplifting opportunities vital for our community in Seattle and King County.
We wouldn’t have been able to do all of this without your support and donations, but we’re not done! Help us continue our work to create space and opportunity with programs and services by and for LGBTQIA+ older adults. Donate today at genpri.de/donate, and consider making a monthly contribution to keep your gift lasting all year long!

Sincerely,
Beatrix De La Busy Zoraida Yolande Miguelez
