The Community Healthcare Access Team (CHAT) partners with many community organizations to assist low income and uninsured residents of EvergreenHealth's service district who face barriers in accessing affordable and quality health and social services. Our programs are supported by tax levy funds, and serve residents living in cities within King County Public Hospital District No. 2.
Healthcare Navigation | Social workers help people access and navigate the healthcare system. We serve people of all ages who have health insurance, financial or social services needs; we help them access a network of support from various services that exist in the community.
King County Project Access | This community partnership helps low income, uninsured community residents get access to appropriate and necessary primary and specialty health services.
Health Insurance Assistance | CHAT staff are able to help people secure free or low cost health insurance. We participate in outreach events in the community, collaborating with churches, social workers, teachers, nurses, family support workers and community-based organizations to help people access affordable healthcare services. We also have a bilingual Spanish outreach worker who can work with community organizations to help people access care and services to meet their needs.
