Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.

For individuals and Families. Most individuals earning less than $75,000 can expect a one-time cash payment of $1,200. Expansion of unemployment insurance benefits for laid-off, furloughed workers, gig economy and contractors.

Essential items to consider when shopping: 

Non-perishable/long lasting food list: Foods that require no refrigeration, cooking or little water, Ready-to-eat canned meats, fruits and vegetables, Protein or fruit bars, Dry cereal or granola, Peanut butter, Dried fruit, nuts, Crackers, Canned juices, Gatorade / electrolytes.

Hygiene items: Hand sanitizer rubbing, Lysol Soap, Disinfectant wipes, Hand wipes, Deodorant, Toothpaste, Tooth brushes, Mouth wash, Disposable gloves.

Utilities

Seattle Utilities are not disconnecting water service for non-payment at this time. Additionally, it is temporarily waiving late fees for non-payment.


The Seattle Utility Discount Program (UDP) offers eligible customers a 60% discount on their Seattle City Light bill and a 50% discount on their Seattle Public Utilities bill. UDP is available for income-qualified residential households.


Puget Sound Energy is not disconnecting utility service for non-payment at this time. Additionally, it is temporarily waiving late fees for non-payment. It will work with customers on options like payment plans and bill extensions.


Comcast Xfinity is not disconnecting internet service or assessing late fees at this time.


CenturyLink is not disconnecting internet service or assessing late fees at this time.
