Mature Friends Monthly Potluck: Time2Share: GenPride/Pride Place

May 20 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm PDT

Following this month’s potluck at Wallingford Community Senior Center, we will welcome Mitch Hunter as our after-dinner speaker. Mitch is the Training Manager for GenPride “Your Resource for LGBTQIA+ Aging.”

GenPride’s Mission Statement: We advocate for the unique needs of older LGBTQIA+ adults by offering innovative programs and services that promote wellbeing and prevent social isolation, cultivate belonging through community connection, and work to eliminate discrimination in all its forms.

He will give a general overview of the programs, trainings, and services offered by GenPride as well as an update on Pride Place, the first LGBTQIA+-affirming, affordable housing program in Washington State on Broadway in a historic building. We’ll learn of opportunities to stay up-to-date of GenPride progress.

6:00 Socializing and Appetizers
7:00 Potluck: the buffet dinner
7:30-7:45: Clean up, strike tables and set up for Time2Share presentation
7:45-8:30: Time2Share: Mitch Hunter, GenPride, Training Manager shares about GenPride Programming, Services and Pride Place
