At the Movies: The Prom

April 22 @ 7:00 pm PDT

Free

This month, we’re going to The Prom! …the movie The Prom, that is. Based on a true news story, a troupe of hilariously self-obsessed Broadway musical stars swarm into a small, conservative Indiana town to support a high school girl who just wants to take her girlfriend to the prom. The star-studded cast includes: Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Kerry Washington, Andrew Rannells, Keegan-Michael Key, Ariana DeBose, Mary Kay Place, and Tracey Ullman. As they say, “It’s time to dance!”

This film does require a Netflix login to watch, so we’re offering three viewing options this month:

  • Watch the movie at your own convenience on your TV or laptop/tablet.
  • Join us for an evening watch party, Thu April 21 7:00 pm
  • Join us for a matinee watch party, Fri Apr 22 at 4:00 pm

Whichever way you watch the movie, join us for an optional & lively after-movie discussion Friday Apr 22 at 7:00 pm.

You’re free to register & attend just a watch party, just the discussion, or both!

If you don’t have access to Netflix, but still want to join one of the movie watch parties, contact Tony@genprideseattle.org for free, alternate arrangements.
