Previously, Ingrid served as the Advocacy Director for the Washington State office of AARP, and Senior Policy Analyst for the Service Employees International Union based in Washington, DC.
More than five years working abroad on public health and aging issues gives Ingrid a global perspective on the work GenPRIDE does.
Ingrid lives in Queen Anne with her partner and two teenage sons.
Ruben is a certified trainer with the National Resource Center on LGBT Aging.
In February 2017, he was hired as the Director of Resident Services for SHAG Senior Housing. Previously, Ruben served for 12 years as a Senior Resident Services Manager at the King County Housing Authority.
Dr. Fredriksen-Goldsen is a nationally and internationally recognized scholar addressing equity and the intersection of aging, health disparities, and well-being in marginalized communities.
As the Principal Investigator of Aging with Pride: National Health, Aging and Sexuality/Gender Study (NHAS) (R01), Karen is leading the first longitudinal study of LGBT midlife and older adult health and aging to identify potentially modifiable factors that account for health trajectories over time in these communities.
She retired as a HR professional from The Boeing Company. Pat is the founder and current Chair/President of Tacoma Older LGBT, a 501(c)(3) serving aging LGBT adults in the Tacoma, Pierce County and surrounding areas.
She is also a board member of Generations Aging with Pride and a member of the executive committee for Pierce County Aging and Disability (an Area Agency on Aging) and the Washington State Council on Aging.
Working seven years as Managing Editor and Research Coordinator at the Indigenous Wellness Research Institute at the University of Washington.
Recently completed 12 years as board member and Publications Chair of Dignity USA, a nationwide organization of LGBTQI Catholics.
Non-car owner for 13 years, bicycle daily, 70 miles a week. Hardcore backpacker for nearly 50 years and still do week-long trips from the Arctic to Texas and from Newfoundland to California. Likes to read newspapers and non-fiction, and play bridge.
HIV-positive since 1987 and looking to live a long, healthy life.
GenPRIDE is closed July 1-7 for summer holiday, reopening on July 8.
Yoga and Fitness classes are still being held.
